Twentynine Palms is the place to celebrate the Fourth of July. It’s the only place in the Morongo Basin where you’ll be able to see fireworks, and before the big event, Tortoise Rock Casino has planned a couple of events. At 10 a.m., it will dedicate a new flagpole. That night, it will hold a free outdoor concert featuring the music of the rock band Kiss. Ernest Figueroa says get ready to “rock and roll all night”…

Kissed Alive returns to Twentynine Palms for the free Saturday night “Live at the Rock” concert at Tortoise Rock Casino. Concert-goers will want to get up and move to the high-energy and spectacular showmanship of this band as they cover iconic songs from the popular band, including “Detroit Rock City” “Hotter than Hell,” “Shout It Out Loud,” and “Love Gun.” The concert starts at 8 p.m. on the outdoor stage at the casino. Then at 9 p.m., watch the fireworks from the Combat Center from the casino parking lot. There will be $1 hot dogs all day long.
