One of the major off-road events in the country, The King of the Hammers, returns to the nearby Johnson Valley off-road area. The race started in 2007 with 12 guys racing for bragging rights and has grown to eight days of racing and $100,000 in prize money. The King of the Hammers desert race and rock crawl takes place Thursday, January 27, to Saturday, February 5, at Means Dry Lake in Johnson Valley. More than 400 racers and tens of thousands of spectators are expected at the 2022 King of the Hammers races. The massive closing celebration Saturday (February 5) night will include live music. If you’re into four-wheeling, this is the ultimate desert race. For tickets or more information, visit http://ultra4racing.com/
