If you have a child between the ages of one and five, the Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley libraries have programs aimed specifically at kids their age. The Little Artists program lets kids create art projects that are fun and sometimes messy. The Twentynine Palms library presents Little Artists at 11 a.m. Tuesdays; it’s at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Yucca Valley.

Story Time, 11 a.m. Thursdays in Twentynine Palms, and 11 a.m. Tuesdays in Yucca Valley, is for the whole family, where books meet songs, rhymes, puppets, and more. For those high-energy kids, the Twentynine Palms library offers Toddler Boot Camp at 11 a.m. Wednesdays, which focuses on the development of gross motor skills, listening skills, following directions, and being active. In Yucca Valley, Kids on the Move meets 11 am. Thursdays, and active toddlers will be able to jump, clap, shake, and dance in the class.
