The Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley pools will be open to escape the heat. In Twentynine Palms, the pool at Luckie Park is open 1 to 5 p.m. every day through August 28, with a final weekend September 3 and 4. Admission is $3 per person, $1.50 for seniors, or a 20-use pass for $35. Lap swimming is from 11:30 to 12:30 Monday through Friday. Admission for lap swim is $1.50 or a season pass for $30. The Town of Yucca Valley community pool is at the high school on Sage Avenue. Drop-in programs include fun swim from 1 to 5 Monday and Wednesday; lap swimming Monday through Friday at 8 a.m. 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and water aerobics, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 7 a.m. All drop-in programs are $4 per person, per visit; or $3 per visit when a swim pass is used.
