Critical to the success of reopening all of our businesses is a strict adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols. Managing editor Tami Roleff explains what that means…
California and many other states have started allowing businesses to reopen, but the reopening is conditional on keeping confirmed COVID-19 cases low. The state public health officer released guidance to help businesses create plans to help keep employees and patrons safe.
By now we all know the drill—require both employees and patrons to wear face coverings, except when sitting down to eat. Maintain safe distancing, with signs and ground markers to help patrons know what this means in the business. And provide sanitizer and encourage frequent hand washing.
The bottom line is that a surge in cases or hospitalization may prompt the State to reverse course on re-openings. If we want to keep our businesses’ doors open, we have to keep COVID-19 out.
