JUVENILE ARRESTED FOR STRONG ARM ROBBERY

An unidentified juvenile was arrested Wednesday, accused of strong-arm robbery when he shoved a store clerk who tried to prevent him from stealing a bottle of alcohol. According to Sheriff’s records, deputies were called to the 6300 block of Palo Verde Avenue in Twentynine Palms at about 7:30 a.m. for a report of an unknown male pounding on the door of the building and asking for a woman who did not live at the location. Deputies determined that the boy, who was not identified due to his age, had stolen a bottle of alcohol from a store, and when the clerk tried to stop him, the juvenile had shoved the clerk. After the boy was positively identified in the field, he was arrested for investigation of strong arm robbery and booked into Juvenile Hall.
