A juvenile was arrested Thursday, accused of stealing a car twice for joy rides. According to a Sheriff’s report, a neighbor in the 8100 block of Cholla Avenue in Yucca Valley called deputies about 12:40 Thursday afternoon to report seeing a boy, about 14 or 15 years old, riding a scooter earlier, and now the neighbor’s car was missing. The neighbor was on vacation. The caller said she saw the juvenile on Wednesday, too, and then noticed the car was missing afterward then, too. The car was returned after school was let out for the day. After an investigation, the neighbor’s car was returned and secured, a boy was arrested for vehicle theft, and the boy was booked into San Bernardino Juvenile Hall.
