JUPITER AND A WAXING MOON

Sky’s the Limit will host a star party Saturday, February 28. The star party will start at the Twentynine Palms observatory about 6:30 p.m. and end about 11:00 p.m. A waxing gibbous moon will be near Jupiter and will dominate the sky, offering the opportunity to observe dramatic craters and mountains on the lunar surface. Bring binoculars, telescopes, water, snacks, chairs, and dress for cold weather. For more information, call 760-367-7222. Sky’s The Limit Observatory and Nature Center is just north of the Twentynine Palms entrance to the Joshua Tree National Park at 9697 Utah Trail.
