The Hi-Desert Nature Museum is offering free monthly Discovery Kits for children in second grade and above through July. In June, the kits are dedicated to the study of light, optics, and optical illusions. In this kit, the young scientists will conduct experiments with mirrors and lenses, make a rainbow, perform several magic tricks using light, and have access to an online portal with many more activities to do from home. Reserve your child’s Discovery Kit by visiting the Hi-Desert Nature Museum’s website, www.hidesertnaturemuseum.org. Supplies are limited. Kits will be available for pick-up on Saturday, June 19 only.
The Hi-Desert Nature Museum is open for visits by appointment. Each visit is 45 minutes and up to 10 members of the same household can attend. The popular Kid’s Corner is available with some limitations. Visit the museum’s website and visit the reservation booking page for more information.
