You still have time to see the Joshua Tree Shakespeare Guild’s first production, “Julius Caesar,” which runs tonight and tomorrow at the Blak Box Theater in Joshua tree. Director Eric Quander, aka “Q” has brought together an eclectic cast in this minimalist version of Shakespeare’s classic political thriller of conspiracy and assassination, and features some of Shakespeare’s most memorable speeches and quotes. Starring as Caesar is Analies Kuiper, Aaron Fagan as Marc Antony, Q as Brutus, Rob Reese as Caius Ligarius, Shawn Manifest as Cassius, Eben Hiner as Flavius, Sam Jacobson as Lucius, Paul Potthoff as Casca, Kim Mayhew as the Soothsayer, as Sue Poston as the Dancer. In double roles are Gwyneth Arnold Starr as Portia and Octavus, Janis Commentz as Messala and Artemidorus, and Molly Katelbach as Calpurnia and Metellus Cimber.
