Artists are invited to celebrate California’s three new national monuments in a new show at the Joshua Tree Art Gallery. “Inspired by Our New Monuments: An Artful Response” is the theme of the judged invitational art show in which artists can honor the state’s desert parks, monuments, and preserves. All materials and media are welcome. The deadline for submission is Friday, May 27. The show runs June 5 through June 26, with an opening reception June 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. The entry fee is $35.
