JOSHUA TREE WOMAN LEARNS NOT TO HIDE SUSPECT FROM DEPUTIES

A Joshua Tree woman learned Wednesday that refusing to let deputies into a home to arrest a man wanted on a warrant will result in her arrest as well. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies went to a home in the 61400 block of Desert Air Road in Joshua Tree just before 11 p.m. Wednesday with an arrest warrant for Jaymie Kime, 42, who was wanted for possession of a stolen vehicle. The woman who answered the door, Sarah Fenske, 39, affirmed that Kime was at the home, but refused to allow deputies inside, even when they told her they had a warrant for his arrest. Deputies then broke into the home through the back door and arrested Jaymie Kime on his warrant, and booked him at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000. Sarah Fenske was also arrested on suspicion of being an accessory, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $25,000.
