A woman was killed after being pinned by her own car in Joshua Tree.
Yesterday (November 10) at 2:40 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an incident in the 61200 block of Alta Loma Drive in Joshua Tree.
The Sheriff’s Department says that Sally Chavez, 55, drove from her residence down a steep hill to dump trash in front of her house. Investigators believe that she exited the car, but that she became pinned under own vehicle.
Passing cars spotted her from the road, and reported the matter to law enforcement.
Chavez was pronounced dead at the scene by the San Bernardino County coroner. The Sheriff’s Department is not investigating this incident as suspicious.
