A woman was arrested for swinging a stick at cars at an intersection in Joshua Tree on Monday (November 28).
At around 1:30 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report that a woman was in the middle of the intersection of Twentynine Palms Highway and Sunburst Ave, and that she was yelling and swinging a wooden stick at cars.
Reports indicated that the woman, identified as Cynthia Alderson, a 36 year-old resident of Joshua Tree, may have possessed other weapons. Alderson had left the intersection by the time Deputies arrived, and no injuries were reported. Deputies were able to locate her later in the day in the area of Commercial St. and Mountain View.
Cynthia Alderson was arrested for suspicion of vandalizing vehicles and had her bail set at $25,000.
