JOSHUA TREE WOMAN ARRESTED AT CEMETERY SUNDAY NIGHT

A Joshua Tree woman was arrested late Sunday night, after she was found inside a cemetery vehicle at the Joshua Tree Memorial Park. According to a Sheriff’s report, a cemetery employee arrived at the cemetery about 11:30 p.m. and discovered a woman, subsequently identified as Deseret Pinar, 29, sitting inside a silver Nissan Titan truck belonging to Wiefels and Sons funeral home. Pinar is not an employee of the mortuary and did not have permission to be in the truck. Inside Pinar’s purse was a kitchen knife. Deseret Pinar was arrested for investigation of carrying a concealed dirk or dagger, and on warrants for petty theft and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Deseret Pinar was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $125,000.
