A Joshua Tree woman was arrested Tuesday, after her ex-boyfriend said she shattered his windshield with a hammer. According to a Sheriff’s report, a man went to the home of his ex-girlfriend, Oyushakya Bolanisthumm, 23, in the 6100 block of Valley View Street in Joshua Tree to pick up his belongings about 6 p.m. Bolanisthumm became upset and the man fled to his truck. He told deputies that Bolanisthumm shattered the front windshield with a hammer, leaving a hole. She then got into her van to leave, but instead intentionally crashed two times into her ex-boyfriend’s truck while he was still inside. Oyushakya Bolanisthumm was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon, booked into the Central Detention Center, with her bail set at $50,000.
