JOSHUA TREE WOMAN ACCUSED OF PUNCHING HER BOYFRIEND

A Joshua Tree woman was arrested Wednesday, accused of punching her boyfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 60500 block of Latham Trail in Joshua Tree about 1:45 p.m. because the victim said Christy Bigornia, 25, scratched and punched him multiple times following an argument over his whereabouts the night before. The victim had numerous scratches on his neck, back, and arms, as well as swelling around his eye from a punch. After an investigation, Christy Bigornia was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $50,000.
