A Joshua Tree woman was arrested Friday, accused of child neglect. Deputies were called to a location on McGarry Road, south of Sonora in Joshua Tree about 3 p.m. Friday to make a welfare check on a child. Deputies found the child confined to the back bedroom of a motor home and living in terrible conditions. Deputies determined the mother Amber Watson, 31, was doing drugs at the location. Amber Watson was arrested for investigation of child neglect, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with her bail set at $100,000. The child was taken into the care of Child Protective Services.
