A Joshua Tree woman was arrested Wednesday after her neighbor said she attacked him with a metal pipe. Deputies were called to the 6400 block of Valley View Street about 8:45 Wednesday morning for an argument. The victim said Kera Dawson, 49, hit him with an aluminum pipe. Deputies spent several hours trying to get Dawson to leave the residence. Finally, Dawson’s boyfriend, who owns the home, allowed deputies inside, at which time Dawson jumped out a window and fled. Deputies located Dawson hiding near a tree. Kera Dawson was arrested for investigation of assault, resisting arrest, and on a $50,000 misdemeanor warrant, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with her bail set at $100,000.
