JOSHUA TREE WOMAN ACCUSED OF ATTACKING ANOTHER WOMAN

A Joshua Tree woman was arrested Saturday, accused of attacking another woman. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 62800 block of Two Mile Road in Joshua Tree about 8 p.m. Saturday by a woman who said that Christine Firestone, 50, who had been staying with her, had attacked her. She said Firestone had hit her in the head and tried to poke her eyes out. The victim said she was concerned that Firestone might harm her dogs and another tenant on her property as well. After an investigation, Christine Firestone was arrested on suspicion of assault, making criminal threats, and attempted mayhem. Firestone was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $150,000.
