The Joshua Tree Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary will hold a soup cook-off Friday, February 9. Contestants should drop off their soup at 3:30 p.m.; the eating and judging will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Prizes will be awarded. The cost is $3 to try all the entries, or $3 for a bowl of soup. The VFW post is located on Veterans Way in downtown Joshua Tree.
