JOSHUA TREE TORTOISE RESCUE NEEDS PAPER TOWELS FOR BABY TORTOISES

2

“Babies are messy,” says the Joshua Tree Tortoise Rescue, “and baby desert tortoises are no different.” At least three pregnant female desert tortoises have come through the Rescue this summer, and it is expected that there will be thirty or more tortoises hatched at the Rescue within the next two to four months, plus the receipt of hatchlings that come in through standard rescue operations. Because of all the activity, this is the time of year when the Tortoise Rescue Organization reaches out to the community for paper towel donations. Paper towels can be donated to the Joshua Tree Tortoise Rescue through the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce office. For more information, call 760-369-1235, extension 2.
