Get the kids together for some cool fun in Joshua Tree this Saturday. Reporter Diana Jones invites you to the Summer Splash…
The Joshua Tree Summer Splash is a free family event that will have something for everyone. Not only will it be a celebration of the Joshua Tree Community Center’s 50th anniversary, but there will be a car and tractor show, games and crafts, music, cake walks, dance and yoga demonstrations, cowboy poetry, and more. And don’t forget the dunk tank, in which you’ll have the opportunity to dunk Sgt. Green of the CHP, Captain Dale Mondary of the Sheriff’s Department; Garrett Gruwell of La Contenta Middle School, James Powell of Twentynine Palms Junior High, Norman Troy of Yucca Valley High School, and Merle Able, Ben Costello, Mike “Grumpy” Kelliher, and Chad Chadwick. The JT Summer Splash is set for Saturday, June 21, from 9 to 3 at the Joshua Tree Community Center, off Sunburst Avenue.
