During this year’s annual Bike 4 Shoes bike ride, set for Saturday, May 14, riders will have the option of riding 30K, 60K, or 90 kilometers, OR running or walking a 5K, or a “Walk n’ Roll.” The bike rides start at Joshua Tree Elementary School at 6:30 a.m.; the walk/run/roll start at 7:30 a.m. Helmets are required for all riders, and underage children must be accompanied by an adult. The cost to ride is $60, with discounts for families, groups, seniors, and military riders. To walk or run, the cost is $10, $5 for seniors and children. Registration forms are available at the Z107.7 studio in Joshua Tree, or at Desert Images in Yucca Valley. Registration will also be accepted the morning of the ride. Registrations for the 16th annual Bike 4 Shoes ride must be received by Wednesday, May 11, if you are mailing them. But don’t fret; registrations will also be taken the morning of the event, Saturday, May 14.
