A Joshua Tree man was arrested Saturday night, accused of failing to yield during an attempted traffic stop. About 8:15 p.m., residents in the area of El Reposo Circle and Sunset Road called to report that a man driving a silver Lincoln had been speeding up and down the street all day, and when the resident attempted to confront the driver to make him stop, the driver pointed a gun out the car’s window. Just before 9 p.m., a deputy located the car, driven by Kevin Shaw, 36, and attempted a traffic stop, but Shaw refused to pull over until he reached his home in the 61600 block of Desert Air Road. Deputies had to use force to arrest Shaw for investigation of felony failure to yield, as well as violating the terms of his parole. Kevin Shaw was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000.
