Joshua Tree National Park will be expanding the Cottonwood Visitor Center on the southern border of the park. The current visitor center is a 20-year-old double-wide trailer that can no longer meet the needs of the park’s visitors. Ground-breaking on the project is expected to start in the next two to three years, with completion by 2022. The project will be funded through the park’s existing fee program.
