Reporter Edica Gonzalez has the details…
Joshua Tree National Park will be expanding the Cottonwood Visitor Center on the southern border of the park. The current visitor center is a 20-year-old double-wide trailer that can no longer meet the needs of the park’s visitors. Ground-breaking on the project is expected to start in the next two to three years, with completion by 2022. The project will be funded through the park’s existing fee program. Comments on the proposal can be made through March 27 at a link with this story at z1077fm.com.
