JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK STARTS SUMMER CLOSURES

Joshua Tree National Park has closed some campgrounds for the summer. Campgrounds completely closed are: Belle campground; Ryan campground; and White Tank campground, although restrooms and Arch Rock Nature Trail remain open. Campgrounds that have partial closures include the eastern side of Black Rock campground; the B loop of Cottonwood campground; and the western side of Indian Cove campground. Those campgrounds will reopen in October. All other park facilities including visitor centers, picnic areas, and other campgrounds remain open for normal visitor use. The Rattlesnake Canyon area continues to be closed until further notice due to vandalism and graffiti earlier this year.
