JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK SHUTTLE SERVICE DISCONTINUED

Two years ago, Joshua Tree National Park and the Morongo Basin Transit Authority joined forces to offer free shuttle rides into the national park. The two-year pilot program concluded in May, and the Park Service announced this week that it has not received funding to continue the service this fall. A Park spokeswoman said Joshua Tree National Park and the MBTA will look at the shuttle service in the future with possible revised routes and schedules.
