0

Joshua Tree National Park officials intend to improve the Cottonwood visitor center with a larger, energy-efficient building to accommodate growing visitation and crowding in the park. As part of the improvement process, National Park Service officials have released a draft environmental assessment for public review and comment. A 30-day public comment period on the environmental assessment opens December 1 and runs through December 30.

Interested parties may obtain an electronic version of the draft plan and/or submit electronic comments through the Planning, Environment and Public Comment website at http://parkplanning.nps.gov.

Comments also may be sent to:
Superintendent
Joshua Tree National Park
74485 National Park Drive
Twentynine Palms, CA 92277-3597

Commenters should be aware that their entire comments–including personal identifying information–may be made publicly available at any time. While commenters can ask that their personal identifying
information be withheld from public review, the NPS cannot guarantee this will be possible.
