The visitor information desk and bookstore at the Joshua Tree National Park’s Oasis Visitor Center in Twentynine Palms will be moved to a temporary building just south of the visitor center while the park completes a seismic retrofit project. Visitor services will be unaffected and signs will provide directions to the temporary location. The move will take effect December 29. Construction is slated to begin January 5 and be completed by late May 2015.
