Joshua Tree National Park are looking for Entrance Ambassadors – volunteers who will assist staff by collecting fees from visitors and providing basic park information.
Entrance ambassadors will assist fee rangers at the entrance by checking park passes, answering visitor questions, and assisting staff in efficiently processing visitor vehicles. This position requires long periods of standing and directing traffic. Volunteers will work both inside and outside of the entrance booth, but work will be primarily outside.
Volunteers may also assist staff inside the park by providing traffic management and visitor assistance at parking lots, trailheads, and campgrounds as appropriate. Volunteers are required to wear provided uniform when on duty.
Applicants must currently live within 60 minutes commuting distance to Joshua Tree National Park and s must be available beginning early October 2023 through the first week of January 2024. Applicants must be available to volunteer on holidays that fall on their scheduled shift day.
