Joshua Tree National Park will host its third Biodiversity Hunt at Cottonwood Spring and Lost Palms Oasis, from 10 a.m. Friday, March 22 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 23. During the BioDiversity Hunt, scientists, students, desert naturalists, community members and park staff will join forces in a 30-hour race to document every type of living thing in Joshua Tree National Park’s rare and unique desert riparian, or wetland, habitats: insects, birds, reptiles, plants, spiders, mammals and more. The public is invited to the Cottonwood Spring and Lost Palms Oasis BioDiversity Hunt between the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
