Joshua Tree National Park will host its second annual Night Sky Festival Friday, October 28, through Sunday, October 30. This year, events will be held at the park’s Oasis and Cottonwood Visitor’s Centers, and at Sky’s the Limit Observatory and Nature Center, just north of the Twentynine Palm’s entrance to the park. The festival begins with opening remarks 6 p.m. Friday and ends with closing remarks 2 p.m. Sunday. Activities include lectures, wildlife programs, nature walks, an astronomy fair, night-sky viewing and building and launching model rockets.
