The climbing area known as the “Towers of Uncertainty” has reopened in Joshua Tree National Park. The area, which is approximately 2.5 miles south of Geology Road, was closed March 30 in order to protect nesting raptors. A park spokesman said this was the third year that redtail hawks had raised chicks in the area. Park officials believe that two chicks were raised and successfully fledged. The Towers of Uncertainty is now open for all activities.
