JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK ASSOCIATION EMPLOYEE HONORED IN WASHINGTON, DC

An employee of the Joshua Tree National Park Association was honored by the Department of the Interior earlier this month. Dave Larson, an information specialist who lives in Joshua Tree, received one of only eight Individual Customer Service Awards at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell presented him with the coveted honor during the Independence Day celebration in our nation’s capital. Larson has worked for the Joshua Tree National Park Association for almost six years and helps with visitor services at all three park visitor centers. After the ceremony, Larson, along with his wife and daughter, were treated to the Fourth of July Fireworks from the roof top of the Department of Interior Building.
