JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK ASSOCIATION AWARDS FOUR GRANTS

The Joshua Tree National Park Association has awarded four research grants for 2013. The grants support independent field research in Joshua Tree National Park, and range from studying crustaceans in the park’s oases to birds as indication of ecosystem change in the desert. The grant program began in 2002 and topics studied have include vegetation, wildlife, ecology, paleontology, and cultural resources of Joshua Tree National Park.
