JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK ARTIST TO SCREEN “HIPPIES” TONIGHT

The Joshua Tree National Park’s artist-in-residence, Miguel Navarro, will be screening his video, “Hippies,” tonight, Monday, November 2, at 7 p.m. at Jumbo Rocks inside the park. Navarro is a Los Angeles-based artist who works in sculpture and video. His current work involved editing archival footage, removing the spoken content, to leave only gestures and facial expressions to decipher the subject’s messages.
