Submissions are now being accepted for the eighth annual juried Joshua Tree National Park Art Exposition. Art entries must be inspired by or depict the natural beauty or cultural history of Joshua Tree National Park. Entry is open to all artists 18 and over; $5,000 in cash awards will be presented. Approximately 50 artists will be selected for inclusion in the show. The entry fee is $35, and artists may submit up to three images of artwork. The deadline to enter is September 8. The art exhibition will be held at the 29 Palms Art Gallery in November, with an opening reception and awards ceremony November 7. While classes and demonstrations will still be held November 7-8, the artists’ market with booths will be cancelled this year. For an application and complete entry rules, visit JTNPArts.org.
Artists are invited to submit artwork entries for the 8th annual Joshua Tree National Park Art Exposition’s juried exhibition, which will be displayed in November in Twentynine Palms, CA, home of Joshua Tree National Park Headquarters.
Approximately 50 artists will be selected for the honor of exhibiting in the show, which will be on display for the month of November at the historic 29 Palms Art Gallery and will be featured in a print and online exhibition catalog. Artists’ work will be for sale during the show and will be eligible for one of several cash awards totaling $5,000. The exhibition will be judged, and awards will be announced on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the gallery.
Deadline for entry submissions for the juried exhibition is Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, by 11:59 p.m. Artwork must depict or be inspired by the unique aspects or cultural history of Joshua Tree National Park. Artists may enter up to three (3) artwork entries for one entry fee of $35, and artwork images and entry fees can be submitted online. Art categories are 2-Dimensional, 3-Dimensional, and Photography. Awards will be first, second, third in each category, plus a Best of Show and a Superintendent’s Award.
