The sixth annual Joshua Tree National Park Art Expo starts this weekend and includes an opening reception at the 29 Palms Art Gallery. Managing editor Tami Roleff has your invitation…
The sixth annual Joshua Tree National Park Art Exposition kicks off Saturday, September 15. The art show at the 29 Palms Art Gallery features artwork inspired by or depicting the national park. Jurors selected 55 artworks from 310 submissions for the exposition. The winners of the judged art show will be announced during the reception at the 29 Palms Art Gallery Saturday. The opening reception, which includes wine, hors d’oeuvres, and music, is from 5 to 8 p.m. The art gallery is open special hours for the expo: Saturday and Sunday, 10 to 4. Regular hours are Thursday through Sunday 11 to 3. An art market with local artist booths, music, and food, will be on the lawn at the 29 Palms Inn. All events are free. Events are also planned for the park’s visitor center in Twentynine Palms and the 29 Palms Creative Center. For a full list of activities, visit jtnparts.org.
