JOSHUA TREE MEN ACCUSED OF CONSPIRING TO BEAT ANOTHER MAN

Two Joshua Tree men were arrested Thursday, accused of conspiring to beat up another man. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 57100 block of 29 Palms Highway on Thursday about 11:15 p.m. because the victim said one man had slashed his left pinky finger with a broken beer bottle, and another man had broken out the victim’s vehicle’s passenger rear window with a tire iron. The victim showed deputies a text message from the suspects, Thomas Pratt, 26, and Jacob Vizcarra, 27, which said they were going to beat him up. After an investigation, Thomas Pratt and Jacob Vizcarra were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and assault, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with their bail set at $50,000 each.
