JOSHUA TREE MAN TASED AFTER TRYING TO FIGHT WITH A DEPUTY

A Joshua Tree man who was trespassing was tased after deputies said he refused to leave. The owner of a short-term rental called about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 8, to report that a man, identified as Lloyd Radford, 58, was hanging around her property and harassing the guests. The deputy located Radford and told him to leave the house. The deputy checked the home’s interior, and then discovered that Radford was sitting in a chair outside the home. According to the Sheriff’s report, when the deputy tried to take Radford into custody, he began to fight, and the deputy used a taser to subdue him. After being checked out at Hi-Desert Medical Center, Lloyd Radford was arrested for investigation of felony resisting arrest, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
