A Joshua Tree man was killed in a roll-over crash in Yucca Valley Thursday night. According to the County Coroner’s office, at 7:27 p.m., a single-vehicle, rollover traffic accident was reported near the intersection of Yucca Trail and La Contenta Rd. in Yucca Valley. Eric Lee, 24, was driving a red 2005 Pontiac Sunfire eastbound along Yucca Trail when for unknown reasons Lee lost control of the car, which struck the soft sand shoulder, and rolled over multiple times, before coming to rest on the passenger side. Lee was pronounced dead at the scene. Firefighters extricated the female passenger, Andrea Mann, who was then flown to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. The accident is under investigation by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Major Accident Investigation Team.
