A Joshua Tree man was killed in a crash on eastbound I-10 Saturday night. The Riverside County Coroner said Kevin Brown, 51, was driving his Dodge Charger eastbound on the freeway just west of Date Palm Drive in Cathedral City at about 8:30 p.m. when he lost control for unknown reasons and crashed. Investigators say he was trapped in the vehicle when rescuers arrived; he died at the scene about a half hour later. No other details on the circumstances of the crash are available. Officers from the Indio CHP station are investigating.
