Deputies helped a Joshua Tree transient get his wish to go to jail late Monday night. According to a Sheriff’s report, John Christie, who will be 52 Friday, threw large rocks through the windows and doors at Hi-Desert Medical Center about 11:30 p.m. During the investigation, Christie told the deputy he was willing to take responsibility for his actions and that he needed to go to jail because he was disgusted with his life choices. John Christie was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
