JOSHUA TREE MAN FOUND WITH ILLEGAL WEAPON

A Joshua Tree man was arrested early Wednesday morning after he was found with an illegal weapon. According to a Sheriff’s report, Kenneth Sanders, 42, was stopped about 6:15 a.m. near Desertair Road and Bonair Road. A records check determined that Sanders had a $25,000 warrant for his arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia. During a search, deputies found an expandable baton, an illegal weapon in the state of California. Kenneth Sanders was arrested for investigation of possession of an expandable baton, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
