A Joshua Tree man was arrested Wednesday, November 14, in conjunction with an investigation of armed robbery in Yucca Valley. According to a sheriff’s report, deputies responded to a report of armed robbery in the 7300 block of Lucerne Vista Ave in Yucca Valley on November 11. The victim reported being robbed at gun point by three male adults. During their investigation, the Yucca Valley Multiple Enforcement Team was able to identify one of the suspects as Joey Arredondo, 26, of Joshua Tree. On November 14, deputies served a search warrant at Arredondo’s residence in the 61400 block of Verbena Road in Joshua Tree. During the search of the home, deputies seized a stolen .357 revolver, ammunition, body armor, methamphetamine, ski masks, several pounds of processed marijuana, and over $2,000 in cash. Joey Arredondo was arrested for investigation of robbery, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of stolen property and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail is set at $350,000. Two additional suspects in the robbery investigation remain unidentified. Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
