JOSHUA TREE MAN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF A TASER, DRUGS

A Joshua Tree man was arrested Wednesday afternoon during a burglary investigation. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies received a call of a burglary in the 6500 block of 49 Palms Avenue in Twentynine Palms shortly after 2:30 p.m. Arriving deputies found Jeremy Braden, 36, standing in front of the burglarized residence. The deputy told Braden he would be detained while the deputy conducted the investigation to determine if he was involved in the burglary. When Braden objected, the deputy handcuffed him. During a pat-down search, the deputy found a taser and methamphetamine, and a records check showed that Braden is a convicted felon who is not allowed to own weapons. Jeremy Braden was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a taser and possession of a controlled substance, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $10,000.
