Deputies investigating a fight arrested a Joshua Tree man who was found with drugs. About 1 a.m. Tuesday, deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Darren Jimenez, 34, because his vehicle matched a vehicle related to an investigation of a fight. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy located suspected heroin in a bag under the driver’s seat. Inside Jimenez’s wallet were three more baggies of suspected heroin as well as a bag containing a pill consistent with morphine. Darren Jimenez was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of heroin and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
