JOSHUA TREE MAN ARRESTED AFTER MAKING THREATS AT A BANK

A Joshua Tree man was arrested Wednesday after he threatened customers and tellers inside a bank. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to a bank in the 57400 block of 29 Palms Highway about 1:45 p.m. for a male customer, identified as Roy Johnson, 40, who was arguing with the teller, became belligerent, and refused to leave. The employees said that Johnson threatened to kill them and the customers inside, pointed at one of the customers and said he would kill her. Roy Johnson was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
